时间:2026-10-19

On July 16th, the Mongolia Maritime Administration visited our university for cooperation and exchange. Vice President Liu Wenhe met with M. Ulzii, Director-General of the Mongolia Maritime Administration, and his delegation in the meeting room on the fifth floor of the Administration Building, and chaired a symposium. Leaders from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, the College of Marine Technology and Environment, the College of Navigation and Shipbuilding Engineering, the College of Marine Law and Humanities, the College of Foreign Languages and International Education, and the Seafarers Training Center attended the symposium.

Liu Wenhe extended a warm welcome to M. Ulzii and his delegation on behalf of the university. He introduced the university’s educational characteristics and disciplinary strengths, and reviewed the cooperation foundation established during our university’s visit to Mongolia in 2024, when the two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding. He noted that against the strategic backdrop of the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor, the university is willing to deepen practical cooperation with the Mongolia Maritime Administration in areas such as graded training of maritime personnel, joint scientific research, and mutual recognition of technical standards, so as to jointly advance the further development of maritime education and scientific and technological cooperation.

Ulzii expressed gratitude for the warm reception. He introduced the current status of work and development needs of Mongolia’s inland waterway management, cross-border freshwater ecological protection and so on, and spoke highly of the achievements our university has made in its marine-related disciplinary training systems and international educational qualifications. He noted that the Mongolian side is ready to actively advance bilateral cooperation from consensus to practice, and strive to turn cooperation intentions into concrete projects, injecting new momentum into maritime exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

At the symposium, the two sides held in-depth discussions on details of cooperation. Leaders of the relevant colleges respectively introduced their development progress and disciplinary characteristics, and exchanged views on the future cooperation.

After the symposium, the Mongolian delegation visited the Liaoning Provincial Virtual Simulation Experimental Center for Maritime Majors and the Northern Marine Data Application Engineering Center, gaining an in-depth understanding of the university’s achievements in smart ocean and virtual simulation teaching.
