On June 26th, Vice President Liu Wenhe met with Ruslan Gulidov, Vice Rector of Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University, Russia, in the Second Conference Room of the Administration Building and held an exchange symposium. Leaders of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, the College of Navigation and Shipbuilding Engineering, the College of Marine Law and Humanities, and the College of Foreign Languages and International Education attended the meeting.

Liu Wenhe extended a warm welcome to Gulidov’s visit, gave a systematic introduction to the university’s educational characteristics, and reviewed the solid cooperation foundation laid by the two universities over more than a decade. He noted that as the China-Russia Years of Education is underway, both sides should seize the opportunity to expand practical cooperation, focusing on areas such as Northeast Asia economic and trade cooperation and Arctic shipping route development. He hoped that the two universities will continue to deepen faculty and student exchanges and joint scientific research in their strong disciplines such as navigation engineering and marine rule of law.
Gulidov expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception. He introduced a series of effective reform measures implemented by the Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State University in recent years, and expounded on the university’s in-depth strategic development in cutting-edge technologies such as unmanned vessels, smart shipping, and maritime environmental security. He proposed that, building on the existing cooperation framework, the two sides should prioritize the implementation of programs in maritime technology and marine law, and conduct joint scientific research to achieve complementary strengths.
During the meeting, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on cooperation details, and leaders of relevant colleges introduced their development progress and disciplinary features.
