On June 11th, President Du Ming met with the delegation led by Komolitdin Sadriddinovich, Vice-Rector of Tashkent State Agrarian University of Uzbekistan, in the meeting room on the 5th floor of the Administration Building, and held an exchange symposium. Vice President Liu Wenhe attended and presided over the meeting. Leaders and relevant members of the Academic Affairs Office, the Graduate and Discipline Development Office, the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, the College of Fisheries and Life Science, and the College of Foreign Languages and International Education of the university attended the meeting.
President Du Ming extended a warm welcome to Komolitdin and the delegation. He pointed out that Dalian Ocean University has mature disciplinary advantages and complete facilities and resources conditions in the fields of aquaculture and marine ecological resource conservation, enabling multi-dimensional international cooperation between the two sides. The two universities should prioritize the implementation of academic exchange programs, explore the “2+1” joint education model, and carry out joint research on aquaculture and fishery projects relying on domestic scientific research fund platforms. It is hoped that the two universities will identify precise entry points for cooperation and continuously deepen pragmatic cooperation in aquaculture and aquatic biology.
Komolitdin expressed sincere gratitude for the warm reception of our university. He noted that the two universities enjoy broad development prospects in teaching and scientific research of aquaculture and fishery disciplines, and expressed the willingness to take student cooperation programs as the starting point to promote deeper exchanges and collaboration.
At the meeting, the two sides held in-depth discussions on cooperation details and jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding. This signing marks that the bilateral cooperation enters into a substantive stage, laying a solid foundation for multi-level cooperation in aquaculture, talent training and joint construction of scientific research platforms in the future.

After the meeting, Komolitdin and the delegation visited the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Northern Mariculture Key Laboratory as well as the off-campus practice base.
