Russian Teacher Delegation Visits Our University

On October 28th, a delegation of 23 Russian teachers, accompanied by the Dalian Foreign Affairs Office, visited our university. Vice President Liu Wenhe warmly received the delegation.

Liu Wenhe, on behalf of the university, extended a warm welcome to the Russian delegation and introduced our university’s history, campus layout, features of discipline construction as well as its achievements in aquaculture, marine technology and other fields. He emphasized that this visit provides an excellent platform for educational exchange between our university and Russian institutions, expressing hope for deeper cooperation in areas such as international student recruitment, teaching experience sharing, and institutional collaboration.

Elena Sviridenko, the professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Psychology at the Primorye-Territory Institute of Education Development as well as a member of delegation, expressed gratitude for our hospitality. She praised our university’s outstanding achievements in aquatic germplasm resources conservation, improved variety innovation and marine technology research and development, highlighting our distinct educational characteristics and strengths. This visit deepened the delegation’s understanding of our university’s teaching and research capabilities and looked forward to implementing more substantive collaborative projects in the future.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Marine Power Square and the Modern Aquatic Seedling Breeding Center, gaining detailed insights into the university’s scientific research progress and achievements in aquatic germplasm resource conservation and improved variety innovation.

The relevant department leaders and teacher representatives from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, the College of Aquaculture and Life Sciences, and the College of Foreign Languages and International Education of our university held a discussion with the Russian teacher delegation in the multifunctional hall of the library. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including international exchange, features of high-quality disciplines, international student recruitment policies and etc.
