Closing Ceremony of the 2025 Autumn Session of the “New-Quality Technician” Vocational Skills Training at Our University

On October 10th, the Closing Ceremony of the 2025 Autumn Session of the “New-Quality Technician” Vocational Skills Training was held in the multifunction hall of the library in our university. President Du Ming attended the ceremony and delivered a speech, while Vice President Liu Wenhe presided over the ceremony.

In his speech, Du Ming extended congratulations to all Indonesian trainees who successfully completed their studies and expressed gratitude to the International Cooperation Center of China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and to the dedicated efforts of the teaching and administrative staff involved in the training program. He noted that this “New-Quality Technician” Training session is a concrete action to implement the consensus on deepening the blue partnership between China and Indonesia, as well as an important practice for our university to serve the Belt and Road Initiative and promote the cultivation of international fisheries talents. As the only higher education institution in northern China specializing in marine and aquaculture disciplines, our university has fully leveraged its academic advantages in areas such as intelligent fisheries and ecological aquaculture, elaborately built a training system, and is committed to helping trainees broaden their horizons and enhance their skills. He hoped that this training would serve as a bond to further promote the establishment of a long-term mechanism for the joint cultivation of fisheries talents between China and Indonesia, contributing wisdom and strength to the sustainable development of fisheries cooperation between the two countries.

Heny Mardjianto, the trainee representative, in her speech, reviewed the approximately four-week learning experience at our university and expressed sincere gratitude to the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment of Indonesia, to our university for providing valuable training opportunities, and to the instructors for their meticulous guidance. She stated that through theoretical studies and practical operations in professional courses such as “Marine Aquaculture” and “Fisheries Capture and Cold Storage Management”, trainees not only mastered cutting-edge technologies and scientific management concepts in modern fisheries, but also witnessed advanced development achievements in China’s fisheries sector. The knowledge and skills acquired from this training will undoubtedly inject new momentum into the upgrading and development of Indonesia’s fisheries industry.

Li Bingyu, the representative of the teaching staff, warmly congratulated the trainees on their successful completion of the program and affirmed the diligence and proactive spirit demonstrated by the Indonesian trainees during their studies. She hoped that the trainees would effectively apply the knowledge and skills gained from this training to their national fisheries practices and become bridges to promote fisheries cooperation and exchanges between China and Indonesia.

Relevant leaders of the university’s Publicity Department of the Party Committee, the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, and the Academic Affairs Office; leaders and representative teaching staff from the College of Aquaculture and Life Sciences, the College of Marine Technology and Environment, the College of Food Science and Engineering, the College of Mechanical and Power Engineering, the College of Navigation and Shipbuilding Engineering, and the College of Foreign Languages and International Education, as well as all Indonesian trainees attended the ceremony.
