On March 8th, Sun Xiangshan, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of DLOU, met with Kesaven Bhubalan, Deputy Dean of School of Marine Science and Environment of Universiti Malaysia Terengganu(UMT) via video link for discussions about promoting academic exchanges and cooperation.
Sun Xiangshan pointed out that Dalian Ocean University has attached great importance to the cooperation with UMT. Since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two universities last year, it is hoped that the two universities would engage in substantive cooperation in student exchange, overseas classroom construction and faculty members exchange. Kesaven Bhubalan also expressed his hopes to grow the partnership and explore new opportunities of substantive cooperation with DLOU. A seminar for academic exchanges is planned to be held through discussion in June in Dalian this year, so as to lay a good foundation for cooperation between the two universities.
Present at the meeting were Maisara Abdul Kadir, Deputy Director of Student Affairs of UMT, Dr. Ong Meng Chuan and Dr. Muhd Hafiz Borkhanuddin, staff members of Marine Science Program of UMT, as well as the staff members of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office.
