The annual conference of the China-Norway Marine University Consortium Alliance 2022 (hereinafter referred to as “CNMU”) was held online from November 14th to 16th. It was sponsored by Member Universities of CNMU (25 universities), and organized by Ocean University of China, Shanghai Ocean University and Qingdao Municipal Bureau for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.
CNMU was officially established on October 20, 2021, with the strong support of the education authorities of China and Norway. Ocean University of China and University of Bergen of Norway are the secretariats. This conference brought together 25 member universities from China and Norway, including Dalian Ocean University (DLOU), to focus on the the field of marine sciences and promote full-range cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, achievement transformation, and cultural exchange.
Dr. Zhang Xueshu and Dr. Liu Ranyang from the School of Fisheries and Life Sciences of DLOU attended the academic conference and shared their insights on the mechanism of neuroendocrine system of Crassostrea gigas in the process of environmental adaptation. Their research results and views were unanimously recognized by the scholars and experts from the member universities. This conference enabled DLOU to plan a more detailed road-map to develop marine sciences and drive more collaboration in marine education and marine science research.
