On May 24, Prof. Vengatesen Thiyagarajan, Assistant Dean of the University of Hong Kong(HKU) and Director of the Hong Kong Institute of Oceanography led a delegation to DLOU. President Song Linsheng received the guests. Faculty staff from International Exchange and Cooperation Office and School of Fisheries and Life Science attended the meeting.
President Song Linsheng extended his warm welcome to Prof. Vengatesen Thiyagarajanl and his delegation, and gave a brief introduction to the development, university-running features and international exchange and cooperation of DLOU. He pointed out that HKU has great educational and research strengths in fields of biology, management, and education, and the two universities have good prospects for cooperation in many fields.
Prof. Vengatesen Thiyagarajan briefly introduced the University of Hong Kong, and he hoped to have some substantive cooperation with DLOU in scientific research, student cultivation, faculty exchange, and other areas.
