The development conference of the 70th anniversary of Dalian Ocean University (DLOU), was held online and offline at the university's lecture hall on December 17th, 2022, bringing together government officials, presidents of universities and alumni of the university. The conference was presided over by Song Linsheng, President of DLOU. University leaders Yi Qingtao, Feng Duo, Zhang Guochen, and Tang Erli attended the conference.
Wang Mingyu, Secretary of the Education Working Committee of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and Vice Governor of Liaoning Province, extended his congratulations on the 70th anniversary of DLOU on behalf of People’s Government of Liaoning Province and said in his speech that DLOU has made great contributions to the provincial development and social progress.
Yao Jie, Secretary of the Party Committee of DLOU, delivered a speech. On behalf of the university, he extended a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests who came to the ceremony online and offline. He also expressed his heartfelt thanks and high respect to all the faculty members, students, retired colleagues, alumni and people from all walks of life who have made important contributions to the construction and development of the university. He reviewed the development history of the university over the past 70 years and pointed out DLOU would continue its commitment to strengthening the university construction and rejuvenating the country.
Song Linsheng, President of DLOU, pointed out that all DLOU's people have made outstanding contributions to the national and local economic and social development. DLOU would resolutely carry on the mission to make more progress for the construction of a modern socialist country for a new era.
More than 200 government departments, partner universities from both home and abroad, scientific research institutes, industry associations, cooperative enterprises and representatives of the alumni have sent congratulatory letters and videos to DLOU, highly appraising the glorious history and achievements of the university.
